Universal Truck Trailer Tool Box w/ Lock 36x18x17 Aluminum Silver
Aluminum construction keeps weight down while locking security keeps your gear safe on the job site or trailer. Hard panel build resists dents and corrosion. The 36-inch length fits standard truck beds and trailer frames without eating up usable space.
What hardware do I need to mount this to my truck bed?
Mounting hardware and method are not specified — you'll want to verify bolt-down points on your bed before purchase to confirm you have compatible anchor holes or rails. Bring your truck bed dimensions and take a photo of the mounting surface to compare.
Will the aluminum need any prep or paint before I install it?
The silver finish comes ready to mount as-is. If you plan to paint it to match your truck, light scuff with 220-grit and use a primer formulated for aluminum to ensure paint adhesion.
Does the lock prevent the lid from being pried open?
The integrated lock secures the lid from opening — it's a deterrent for casual theft but not a heavy-duty security solution if someone brings tools. Treat it like a toolbox lock: it stops quick grab-and-go, not a determined attack.
