97-05 VW Passat B5 1.8T Turbo Manifold Stainless Steel K03/K04
Cast stainless steel turbo manifold engineered for K03 and K04 turbos on the B5 1.8T platform. Purpose-built to replace worn OEM cast iron units with superior heat resistance and durability. Direct bolt-on construction eliminates guesswork on fitment.
Do I need to pull the engine or drop the subframe to install this?
Installation approach depends on your turbo setup and engine bay clearance. Many B5 owners handle this with the engine in the car, but tight quarters mean patience and the right socket set. Have a service manual handy before you start.
Will this manifold work if I upgrade from a K03 to a K04 later?
Yes. Both turbos bolt to the same flange pattern on this manifold, so you can swap turbos down the line without replacing the manifold.
Does this need paint or any prep before I bolt it on?
Stainless steel doesn't rust, but it can discolor under high heat. If appearance matters, ceramic or high-temp coating is optional—not required for function. Install as-is if you're after performance only.
