97-03 BMW 5-Series Window Motor & Regulator Assembly
Complete window motor and regulator unit for drivers or passengers side operation. This is a fully assembled component—motor, regulator mechanism, and hardware all integrated. Designed for direct installation into the door frame.
Will this assembly fit into my existing door frame without modification?
The assembly mounts at factory attachment points in the door. If your door frame is straight and undamaged, it should drop in. Check for rust or bent metal around the mounting tabs before installation.
Do I need to buy fasteners separately, or are they included?
The assembly ships as a bare unit—fasteners are not included. Have basic bolts and clips on hand that match your factory mounting hardware, or compare the bolt holes to your old regulator before you start.
What should I do if the window doesn't move smoothly after install?
Run the window up and down several times to seat the mechanism. If binding persists, check that the door panel is fully closed and aligned. Misaligned panels can pinch the regulator track and restrict movement.
