87-95 Volvo 740/940 OEM Radiator 2.3L Auto/Manual
Direct replacement OEM radiator built to factory spec for proven cooling performance. This unit handles both automatic and manual transmission variants without compromise. Engineered aluminum core construction designed to manage 2.3L engine heat loads reliably.
Will I need new hoses and clamps to install this?
The radiator itself mounts at factory points with no modifications needed. Check your existing upper and lower hoses before installation — if they're original to an 87-95 740/940, reuse them. Replace any hose that shows cracks or hardening.
Do I need to drain the entire cooling system before pulling the old radiator?
Yes. Drain the system fully before disconnecting hoses and unbolting the old unit. This prevents spillage and gives you a clean install when you mount the replacement.
Can I use my existing transmission cooler lines, or do they need replacement?
Your existing transmission cooler lines (if equipped) can be reattached to the new radiator at the same connection points. Inspect the lines for leaks or damage before reconnecting — any weeping means replacement lines are needed.
