Yes. Your AC system must be emptied of refrigerant and oil by a certified technician before removing the old condenser. This is a legal requirement and affects system performance. Have the new unit installed and the system recharged by a shop with proper recovery equipment.
Will this condenser work with my existing AC compressor and hoses?
This condenser is designed to integrate with OEM CR-V plumbing and components from the same model years. If your compressor, receiver dryer, or hoses have been replaced with aftermarket parts, confirm those components are compatible with a 2007–2011 system before ordering.
