2004-2014 Chevrolet Colorado Tailgate Cap - Crew Cab Fleetside
Hard panel tailgate cap designed to fit crew cab fleetside beds with factory mounting geometry. Constructed from durable hard panel material built to withstand daily use and weathering. Direct fit design requires no modification to your existing tailgate.
Do I need fasteners to install this, or does it come with hardware?
Hardware is not included with this cap. You'll need to source bolts and fasteners separately—most builders use stainless steel hardware rated for outdoor exposure. Check your vehicle's service manual for torque specs at the mounting points.
Can I paint this cap, or does it ship ready to bolt on?
This ships as a bare hard panel part. You can paint it to match your truck, but you'll need to prep the surface with cleaning and light sanding before primer and topcoat. No primers or sealers are pre-applied.
Will this cap work if I've modified my tailgate or bed frame?
This cap is designed around factory mounting geometry. If your tailgate or bed frame has been cut, welded, or heavily modified, test-fit before committing to installation. Factory condition tailgates will bolt up without issue.
