2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse V6 Single Tip Catback Exhaust Stainless Steel
Stainless steel catback system with single outlet tip for V6 Eclipse models. Built from 304-grade stainless to resist corrosion and withstand heat cycles. Bolt-on design routes from the catalytic converter back, replacing the OEM muffler and resonator section.
Do I need special fasteners or clamps to install this?
Installation hardware for connection at the cat is not specified. Verify bolt pattern at the factory Cat flange before ordering — you may need to source hardware separately or reuse OEM fasteners if compatible.
Will the stainless steel tip tarnish or need polishing?
Stainless steel naturally oxidizes slightly but resists heavy rust. Regular wash-downs keep it bright; polishing compound maintains shine if desired. It won't degrade like mild steel.
Is this a straight bolt-on, or does it require welding?
Catback systems bolt at the catalytic converter — no welding. Route the system along the factory path and secure with clamps and fasteners at the cat connection and bracket points.
