2000-2004 Ford Focus Exhaust Header Gasket
Seal between your header and cylinder head without the leak. This gasket handles thermal cycling and vibration that kills stock seals. Designed as a direct fit for your engine bay, it stops exhaust gas escape before it starts.
Do I need new bolts to install this, or can I reuse the old ones?
Reuse your factory header bolts—they work fine. Just clean the bolt holes and gasket seating surface with a wire brush before installation to ensure a tight seal.
Should I use gasket sealer or anti-seize on this?
A light coat of high-temp gasket sealer on both sides helps lock in the seal. Skip anti-seize on the gasket faces themselves—it can create leak paths. Use it only on the bolt threads if you want easier removal later.
Can I install this myself with basic hand tools?
Yes. You'll need a socket set, wrenches, and a gasket scraper. Removing the header takes longer than installing the gasket itself. Plan for an afternoon if you're working in your driveway.
