1997-2000 Ford Explorer OEM Radiator with 2-1/4 In. Thick Core
Heavy-duty OEM replacement radiator engineered for your Explorer's cooling demands. The 2-1/4-inch thick core maximizes surface area for efficient heat dissipation, keeping engine temps stable under load. Built to exact factory specifications for direct fit and reliable long-term performance.
Will this radiator work with my existing hoses and clamps?
Yes — this is a factory-spec replacement, so your current hose connections and clamps bolt right on without modification or adapters needed.
Do I need to drain and flush the cooling system before installing?
Yes. Drain the old coolant completely, flush the system if it's been in service for several years, and refill with fresh coolant to OEM specs. This ensures optimal performance and prevents corrosion.
What should I do to prepare the radiator before installation?
Inspect the mounting brackets and connection points on your vehicle for debris or corrosion, and clean them if needed. The radiator ships ready to install — no additional prep required on the unit itself.
